In Class Exercise: Pandas Series and DataFrames

The following exercises will have you create pandas series and DataFrames from lists and external files. For this exercise, open the in-class workbook, make a copy, and follow the instructions.

As part of this exercise, you will be asked to import some Excel file into a pandas DataFrame. You can download the files from the following links:

signs.xlsx
stream_data.xlsx

After opening the notebook, drag and drop the files into the file explorer on the left side of the notebook.

Instructions

  1. Open the in-class workbook using the link above.
  2. Rename it something like "(Your_Name)_Class_Intro_to_Pandas.ipynb"
  3. Follow the instructions in the notebook to complete the exercise.
